Block of the Month Program (BOM)

This program is a monthly participation program. The BOM is for you to learn new skills, share your experiences, and encourage newer quilters to explore new techniques. The theme or approach for the guild year Block of the Month program is dependent on the program coordinator and will vary from year to year. The BOM program coordinator will provide monthly guidelines for the Block of the Month.

The general guidelines for the BOM is to make one or more of the blocks, based on that month's pattern requirements, and bring them to the guild meeting. Using different fabrics if making multiple blocks is encouraged but not required. Your name is placed in the drawing for each block submitted, up to 4 blocks or as many specified by the program leader.  The Block of the Month drawing is held during the guild meeting. One name is drawn and that person wins all the blocks submitted for that month's BOM. If there are many blocks then a 2nd name is drawn and the blocks split evenly between the two winners.

We hope you participate and enjoy the variety of blocks created over the course of the guild year. If you have questions please contact the program coordinator listed on the contacts page.
